Parents and Guardians,
Just a reminder. On April 10, 2025 the Sierra Grande School District will be doing an evacuation/reunification drill. We will lockdown at approximately 2:30PM. We will then evacuate the school for reunification at the Fort Garland Museum. In order for the district to complete the drill, we ask that parents not arrive at the Museum until 3:15 at the earliest. Please park in an orderly manner in front of the museum. Please ensure that arrangements are made to have your student picked up between 3:15 and 4:00. Buses will NOT run on Thursday. Students will only be released to people who are listed on their emergency contact list unless other arrangements are made 24 hours in advance. Those people who are picking up students will need to have an official ID. Students will not be allowed to take their backpack or computers with them. If students need these items for the weekend, the school will reopen from 4:00-4:30 for students to collect their belongings. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Paine or Mr. Mizokami @ (719)379-3257.
Thank you for your support during this important safety drill.
